Stray Kids’ New Album “DO IT” Debuts at No. 1 on Billboard 200, Setting Historic K-Pop Record
JYP Entertainment’s Stray Kids have once again made history as their ninth mini-album, DO IT, officially debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart marking their eighth consecutive No. 1 album since 2022. According to data released by Luminate, DO IT earned 248,000 equivalent album units in the United States in its first week (November 22–28), the largest opening week for any K-pop act in 2025.
The total comprises:
• 218,000 traditional album sales (physical + digital downloads)
• 28,000 streaming equivalent albums (SEA)
• 2,000 track equivalent albums (TEA)
With this achievement, Stray Kids now hold the record for the most No. 1 albums by a K-pop artist in Billboard 200 history, surpassing BTS’s previous record of six consecutive chart-toppers. They also become the first act of the 21st century across all genres to score eight consecutive No. 1 debuts, a feat previously unmatched in the modern era.
Globally, DO IT has dominated real-time charts across 47 countries on iTunes, topped Japan’s Oricon Daily and Weekly Album Charts, and entered the Top 10 of the Official UK Albums Chart at No. 6. The title track “DO IT” simultaneously debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts.Billboard praised the group’s self-producing prowess, noting that all eight members Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N participated in writing and composing every track on the album. Lead single “DO IT” has already surpassed 100 million views on YouTube within five days of release, fueled by its high-energy choreography and viral “DO IT Challenge” trending worldwide.
